Vision For Education are seeking a Trainee Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Newcastle upon Tyne. No previous experience or qualifications are required; you will undergo comprehensive training and secure a paid placement in a local school.

Successful candidates will develop essential classroom skills, with guidance from school leaders and Vision For Education to identify a specialist area (EYFS, KS1, KS2) and complete safeguarding checks as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• No prior teaching qualifications required, on-the-job training provided.
• Commitment to completing required training and CPD.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and Update Service registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with day-to-day class activities and support learning in small groups or 1:1.
• Help manage the classroom and support pupils to achieve learning targets.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families to promote a supportive environment.
