Your New Job Title: Marketing Manager

The Skills You'll Need:PR & Marketing Communications, Managing events, Adobe Creative Suite, B2B experience

Your New Salary: up to £51K per annum plus 8% bonus

Location: Tonbridge, Kent

Duration: Maternity cover - FTC - expected to be 12 months

Job status: hybrid - 4 days a week in office, 1 day a week WFH

Working hours: 37.5 h per week/ Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm

Who You'll Be Working for:

A leading UK importer and distributor of quality cheeses and fine foods is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their Marketing Team to cover for a period of maternity leave.

To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:

  • Have experience of using Adobe Creative Suite, as well as managing events.
  • Are eligible to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Marketing Manager -What You'll be Doing:

  • Plan and execute a marketing & comms plan for the calendar year, to ensure acquisition and growth goals are met, with a focus on lead generation
  • Design content with our suppliers for social media (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), using Canva
  • Maintain new website post launch (Q4 2025) working with IT on any post launch integration of other sites
  • Leads our relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment on marketing and future developments, working with both the retail and independent arms of the business
  • Set and administer annual marketing budget for the approval of the Board
  • Assess the effectiveness of marketing activity and make recommendations of adaptations if required
  • Gain a thorough and competitive insight of the market through customer and major stakeholder insights (trade magazines) and share the knowledge accordingly
  • Ensure the company’s brand and tone of voice is consistent across all channels and collateral
  • Provide tools and marketing materials to enable the Production, Sales & Commercial teams to function effectively (monthly promotional leaflets, annual brochure and Christmas brochure, along with any other POS as the business requires)
  • Collaborative working with senior managers to manage and measure marketing campaign costs
  • Identify new business opportunities and work with the Production, Sales & Commercial teams to realise those opportunities
  • Take the lead on managing company events (trade shows in April and September along with retailer event in November) from arranging products, H&S assessments etc.
  • Responsible for NPD prior to launch and sourcing new products for our portfolio
  • Support the onboarding of any acquired business

Marketing Manager -The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • First class communication & collaboration skills including negotiations with agencies
  • Detailed understanding of effective PR and Marketing Communications
  • Strong project leadership and people management skills including influencing to influence
  • Strong data interpretation skills with the ability to devise an action plan based on the data
  • Proven understanding of fully integrated marketing strategies, essentially across multi-channel campaigns, events, content marketing and social media
  • Creative & strategic thinker
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Background in B2B is preferable
