We are seeking an experienced and driven Cyber Partner / Lawyer to join our esteemed UK law firm, ranked in the top 100. The role involves spearheading the expansion of our thriving Cyber Security practice, catering to clients across their national offices as well as our international clientele.

For the right candidate, there is potential for this position to evolve into a Head of Cyber or Cyber Security Partner / Lawyer role.

The ideal candidate is anticipated to bring their existing clientele while demonstrating an eagerness to establish and lead a team, including the development of an incident response unit. They will also oversee their own caseload and provide day-to-day guidance and support to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with clients on a diverse range of cyber risk matters, encompassing readiness, response, and recovery phases.
  • Engaging in various data protection, technology, and media litigation cases.
  • Orchestrating the response to cyber security incidents and data breaches.
  • Offering counsel on data protection compliance and privacy concerns.
  • Assisting clients in implementing cyber security strategies and crafting incident response plans.
  • Pioneering the growth and enhancement of our cyber-focused products and services.
  • Overseeing cyber security incidents, which includes managing interactions with attackers, coordinating with IT forensics specialists, enlisting the expertise of PR consultants, advising on notification obligations, handling regulatory investigations (ICO and FCA), and liaising with law enforcement agencies.
  • Providing guidance on the application of GDPR (Article 3) regarding international breaches.
  • Contributing to the firm's business development endeavors, including the cultivation of client prospects and relationships.
  • Cultivating a robust personal reputation and fortifying the firm's standing in the cyber market.
  • Leading and participating in various thought leadership initiatives and broader PR efforts.
