Uncapped commission on new business

Liverpool( onsite parking)

Open Full-time or part-time, minimum three days per week

Are you a consultative salesperson who enjoys winning new business but also likes to properly understand what they are selling?

We are working with an established Liverpool-based technology business that helps SMEs improve efficiency, simplify processes and support their growth through integrated business software.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced salesperson to play an important part in the company’s next stage of growth.

It is predominantly a new-business position, so you must be comfortable creating your own opportunities, opening doors and developing relationships from the beginning. However, this is not about making a quick sale and moving on.

You will work closely with prospective clients to understand how their business operates, identify where improvements could be made and demonstrate how the right technology could make a measurable difference.

THE ROLE

You will manage the sales journey from identifying an opportunity through to winning the client and developing the relationship over the longer term.

  • Developing new business opportunities across the North West and wider UK
  • Building relationships with SME owners, directors and senior decision-makers
  • Using networking, referrals, research, LinkedIn and direct approaches to build your own pipeline
  • Holding consultative conversations to understand each prospect’s business, challenges and future plans
  • Presenting and demonstrating software solutions in a clear, engaging and commercially focused way
  • Working with the technical team to create solutions tailored to each client
  • Preparing proposals and guiding prospective clients through the decision-making process
  • Managing a varied pipeline and maintaining accurate sales information
  • Building strong relationships with new clients and identifying opportunities for further support
  • Developing relationships with professional advisers and other potential referral partners
  • Representing the business at client meetings, networking events and industry events

This is not a traditional Account Manager role. Although developing long-term relationships will be important, the main focus will be identifying and winning new business.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, technically curious and confident speaking with business owners and senior leaders.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience selling business software, technology solutions or another consultative service
  • A successful track record of generating your own opportunities and winning new clients
  • Experience managing a complete sales process rather than only setting appointments
  • The ability to understand business processes, workflows and operational challenges
  • Confidence presenting or demonstrating a product or solution to prospective clients
  • A credible and consultative approach, with the ability to ask good questions and challenge appropriately
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills
  • The resilience and self-motivation needed to develop new business
  • A proactive approach suited to working within a small, agile organisation
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend client meetings when required

Experience selling ERP, MRP, CRM, SaaS, finance systems, manufacturing software or other business applications would be particularly useful.

You do not need experience of the company’s specific platform. Full product training will be provided, but you must be willing and able to learn the software sufficiently well to lead confident client demonstrations.

What’s On Offer
  • £45,000–£55,000 basic salary, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate
  • Uncapped commission on new business
  • Full-time or genuine part-time working from three days per week
  • Liverpool office base with regional and occasional UK travel
  • Full product training and professional certification
  • Direct access to the senior leadership and technical delivery teams
  • 23 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Private medical insurance and healthcare cashback
  • Company pension
  • The opportunity to shape a newly created role and make a visible contribution to the growth of the business

This position would suit someone who enjoys the chase and commercial reward of winning new clients but who also wants to sell in a thoughtful, consultative way.

You will be joining a business that values long‑term relationships and would rather walk away from the wrong opportunity than sell a solution that will not deliver for the client.

If you have experience selling business software or technology solutions and would welcome a role combining new‑business development, consultancy and product demonstrations, we would love to hear from you.
