Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking a dynamic clinical pharmacist with a strong neuroscience focus to lead a proactive, patient-centered specialist service. You will work with consultants, specialist nurses and allied professionals to optimise medicines and support complex clinical decisions across North Wales.

You will develop and lead clinical pharmacy services within your area, mentoring pharmacists and technicians, and contributing to service improvement as

Qualifications

• MPharm degree or equivalent.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society & registration with the Faculty.
• Accredited or eligible to be accredited as a Higher Education Institute Clinical Pharmacy diploma/MSc tutor.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service to allocated area.
• Undertake professional and clinical pharmacist duties.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice and support within primary and secondary care.
• Develop evidence-based, cost effective use of medicines.
• Participate in training of diploma, pre-registration and other pharmacists in area of specialty.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to practice research, service and quality improvement.
• Develop policies, protocols and guidelines within allocated area.
• Collaborate with service users and other health and social care colleagues to improve outcomes.
