We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiversity Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP Foston Hall, a closed category women's Prison and Young Offenders Institution, located in the village of Foston in Derbyshire, England.

There will be support with upskilling and training for the role, with the provision you are committed to the role.

Hours

Monday to Friday 9-5 or 8-4pm; no nights or weekends.

Salary

This position is full time. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £49,191 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Neurodiversity Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide direct and/or indirect support for those presenting with neurodiversity/learning difficulties
  • Provide support for those with long-term neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia and support the IMHT with training in relevant areas
  • Provide guidance to prison colleagues to inform prison plans and improve prisoner management and safety
  • Help shape and inform the neurodiversity and Learning disability pathways within Practice Plus Group and liaise with NHSE colleagues to ensure robust clinical practice
