Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Neuro Theatre Practitioner to join the team. This full-time, permanent role is 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

The position involves assisting the surgical team, preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, and supporting anaesthetics and recovery. Applicants should be Registered Nurses (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioners (HCPC) with theatre experience in scrub, anaesthetics or recovery, and

Qualifications

• Experience in theatre environment including scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.
• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) registration.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; assist surgical team.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep and patient monitoring.
• Post-operative care and discharge readiness; monitor vitals and pain control.
• Adhere to infection prevention policies and ensure equipment safety.

Skills

Theatre experience
