Job summary

Active Neuro at Hothfield Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Ashford, England, is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a seven-day model of care on a fixed-term, 12-month contract. Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist and current registered status.
• Experience in neurorehabilitation or neurological settings.
• Experience in private healthcare, independent rehabilitation services, or medico-legal work is advantageous.
• Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to plan and adapt complex therapy programmes.
• Experience mentoring, supervising, or supporting junior staff or students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for individuals with neurological conditions and brain injuries, with advanced clinical reasoning.
• Develop and implement person-centred therapy plans to recover functional independence and daily living skills.
• Create engaging therapy programmes tailored to patients’ interests, goals, and needs.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic rehabilitation and inform team decisions.
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff and students within the team.
