Senior Neuro Physiotherapist – Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and forward‑thinking Senior Neuro Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Neurology team. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time position based within Neuro Outpatients, offering an excellent opportunity to develop and apply specialist skills within a supportive and progressive service.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high‑quality physiotherapy service by assessing and treating patients with complex presentations.
  • Supervise and mentor newly qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants and students while contributing to the education of multidisciplinary team staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and actively participate in departmental activities.
  • Take part in the weekend and on‑call service as required; weekend working commitments will be determined based on service demands and rotational requirements.
  • Implement relevant standards, policies and best practices in patient care.
  • Independently assess and manage complex respiratory patients using clinical reasoning.
  • Develop and deliver personalised physiotherapy treatment plans.
  • Maintain professional and legal accountability, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Stay updated with clinical advancements, contributing to service development.
  • Participate in the respiratory on‑call and weekend service.
  • Effectively manage a dynamic caseload and respond to urgent referrals.
  • Supervise, support and mentor junior staff, assistants and students.
  • Contribute to service improvements and policy development.
  • Ensure safe use of physiotherapy equipment and report any defects.
