Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a security-focused network professional for a hybrid role based in Hemel Hempstead, UK. The candidate will safeguard networks, investigate incidents, and drive proactive remediation across large environments, with opportunities to contribute to threat hunting initiatives.

You will work with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Palo Alto technologies, collaborate with infrastructure teams, and support customers in a fast-evolving IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in large network environments.
• Proficiency with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Palo Alto/Panorama technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Must hold or obtain SC and NPPV security clearances.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard network through meticulous security and vulnerability patch management.
• Investigate alerts, respond to incidents, and provide recommendations.
• Perform proactive scanning and ITHC remediation; engage in threat hunting missions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, automate remediation, and analyze firewall configurations.
• Be flexible to cover out-of-hours and work across different NEC locations.

• Hold or obtain relevant security clearances (SC and NPPV).

• Full driving license, awareness of recognized security practices.

Desirable

• Experience with Pulse Secure, Gemalto/Thales, network automation.
• Knowledge is patching Windows and Unix Operating Systems
