Job summary

CACI Network Services, based in London, seeks a Network Voice Engineer to design, deploy and support voice and UC platforms across UK and international sites. You will work on Cisco UC products, CUCM/Jabber/Expressway, and related infrastructure components.

You will contribute to virtualization and storage, monitor systems with Grafana and Splunk, and collaborate in a hybrid work environment with on-site and remote delivery requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with network infrastructure for voice and video.
  • Knowledge of VLAN design, IP addressing and QoS for media traffic.
  • Ability to onboard secure devices and manage certificates.
  • Firewall administration across Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto environments.
  • SIP and UC interoperability with Microsoft 365 or similar tools.
  • Experience with virtualization and storage platforms (VMware, NetApp).

Responsibilities

  • Manage HS and LS voice and video telephony platforms.
  • Coordinate partner connectivity UK and overseas.
  • Support UC applications infrastructure and virtualization.
  • Contribute to monitoring and management tools (Grafana, Splunk).
  • Install/configure Cisco VTC endpoints and room systems.
  • Handle faults, service requests and escalations.
  • Assist in security, backups and disaster recovery tasks.

About Network Services

CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments with our major clients in Global Media, Banking, Government, Telecoms & Utilities

Key responsibilities
  • HS and LS Voice and Video telephony platforms.
  • Partner Connectivity across the UK and overseas
  • Underlying infrastructure to support UC Applications
  • Develop additional UC skills to aid in the support of other UC Team Collaboration
  • Tools and Audio-Visual and Managed Events capability to help create a multidisciplinary team.
  • Hardware installation/configuration
  • Infrastructure support - Flexpod, NettApps
Other responsibilities could include:
  • Faults and service requests
  • Technical escalations
  • Contribute to the Internal monitoring and management tools (Grafana, Splunk and python based tools, Ansible)
Core skills, knowledge and experience required
  • Network Infrastructure
  • LAN/WAN fundamentals, QoS for video and voice traffic.
  • VLAN design, IP Addressing
  • Secure device onboarding and certificate management.
  • Firewall administration (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
Unified Communications Platforms
  • Cisco UC products
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Jabber, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Expressway, Cisco Meeting Server
  • Webex Control Hub administration.
  • SIP protocol understanding.
  • Interoperability and integration with Microsoft 365 or other UC tools.
  • Servers & Storage
  • Physical and virtual server installation, configuration, and support (Windows Server, Linux distributions).
  • Expertise in virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere)
  • Storage provisioning, replication, and backup solutions.
  • Cisco UCS, Hyperflex, FlexPOD
  • Netapp
Infrastructure Automation & Monitoring
  • Scripting and automation
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Splunk, Grafana
  • Video Conferencing Systems
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco VTC endpoints (Room Kits, Webex Boards, SX/MX series, Desk series).
  • Knowledge of Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and interoperability gateways.
  • Cloud Infrastructure
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture and management.
  • Hybrid cloud deployments & integration with on-premise systems.
  • Cloud networking, security groups, and resource optimisation.
