About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and customer‑focused Network Technical Assistant to join our team in Bournemouth and play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and high‑quality water services. In this fast‑paced position, you’ll work closely with field teams, managers and partner organisations to plan work effectively, manage customer contact, and ensure compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.

This role requires strong communication, excellent planning skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Effectively planning field team workloads in line with SLA requirements and understanding task priorities.
  • Releasing jobs to partners through the system on time and ensuring compliance with financial and technical standards.
  • Creating and updating work orders to support network workstreams.
  • Managing requisitions, goods receipts and procurement activities to ensure materials and equipment are ordered efficiently and in line with company policy.
  • Completing RAR maintenance workflows within agreed timescales.
  • Supporting the Asset & Area Manager with diary management, meeting prioritisation and other administrative duties.
  • Attending meetings as required and recording minutes and actions accurately.
  • Meeting all agreed KPIs and statutory reporting requirements related to network operations administration.
  • Making professional customer calls and recognising the CMEX impact of every interaction.
  • Supporting the network team with resolving customer complaints or unwanted calls.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure work is completed on time and information is shared appropriately.
  • Planning and coordinating visits for Network teams and tracking jobs through to completion.
  • Offering flexibility to work outside core hours during events, peak periods or customer‑impacting situations.
What We're Looking For
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a Science subject at Grade C or above.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment, ideally in a service delivery setting.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service including handling difficult situations.
  • Strong general IT capability including MS Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to interpret and assess numerical/statistical information.
  • Good local knowledge to support effective planning.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage multiple rotas.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to question existing approaches.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and aware of when to escalate issues appropriately.
