As a Network Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust enterprise network solutions across both project and operational environments. You'll bring strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching, with CISCO experience highly preferred, and a solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and executives to capture business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and either implement solutions yourself or collaborate with the wider network team. In addition, you'll also ensure solutions align with governance and standards and provide expert-level support in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and major incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical delivery of complex network solutions across both project and operational environments.
• Collaborate with third-party suppliers and internal teams to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant network implementations.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to capture requirements, propose scalable solutions, and drive delivery aligned to business outcomes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and vendor roadmaps to inform solution design and maintain technical relevance.
• Provide expert-level support in diagnosing and resolving high-impact network issues and major incidents.
• Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards, including Infosec and audit requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement across performance, reliability, and process efficiency.

Knowledge & Experience

• Proven experience designing robust, reusable network solutions to meet project deliverables.
• Strong technical expertise in routing & switching, LAN/WAN, and technologies including Cisco (Catalyst & Nexus) and Palo Alto.
• Skilled in managing third-party vendors and professional services for support and delivery.
• Deep understanding of security best practices and Infosec requirements in network design.
• Experienced in diagnosing and resolving complex issues and major incidents.
• Background in campus and data centre network architecture, with solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and a collaborative, mentoring approach within teams.

Desirable

• Exposure to telephony technologies (e.g. SIP, dialler, SBC).
• Knowledge of TOGAF architecture framework.
• Experience with Azure networking and cloud design principles.
