Job summary

Solutions Through Knowledge is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Cisco network and security transformation programme in Central London. The role is fully onsite, 6 months initially, with a day rate of £450 outside IR35 for a start ASAP.

You will own end-to-end delivery, coordinating technical resources, stakeholders, third parties and business teams to ensure a disruption-free migration to production services. Strong PM and Cisco security experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Delivery of enterprise network and/or network security projects.
• Experience with firewall deployments, upgrades or migrations.
• Experience managing Cisco networking and security technologies.
• Experience migrating Cisco Catalyst infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of routing, BGP, switching and firewalls.
• Proven change management, planning, testing and cutover processes.
• Experience coordinating Network Engineers, Security Engineers, Consultants and Architects.
• PM certification such as PRINCE2, PMP or AgilePM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the project from initiation through design, build, migration, testing, cutover and handover into BAU.
• Develop and maintain the overall project plan, milestones, dependencies, RAID log and delivery schedule.
• Coordinate the deployment of the Cisco Secure Firewall infrastructure, including FMC HA and multiple firewall HA pairs.
• Manage the programme of legacy firewall configuration and policy migration, ensuring testing and sign-off.
• Coordinate migration of Cisco Catalyst 3850 switch stacks to Catalyst 9300 infrastructure.
• Work with Network/Security teams to ensure deliverables meet timescales.
• Plan and coordinate production change windows, migrations and cutovers, including rollback planning and communications.
• Manage dependencies across firewall, routing/BGP, switching and related infra changes.
• Produce and approve HLD/LLD, migration, test and rollback plans.
• Manage risks, issues, actions, dependencies to resolution.
• Coordinate CAB/change-management submissions and approvals.
• Provide clear project reporting to technical and senior stakeholders.
• Manage third-party suppliers and vendors as needed.
• Ensure successful transition into operational support post-implementation.
