InfoSec People Ltd is partnering with a leading defence and technology organisation to recruit a Network Security Engineer for its 24/7 Security Operations capability. The role involves monitoring, protecting and improving security systems across a large enterprise network, and responding to incidents.

You will manage enterprise firewall environments, investigate incidents, perform traffic analysis, and contribute to vulnerability management while working in a secure, fast-paced environment with

Qualifications

• Experience in SOC, Network Security or Cyber Security roles.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, DNS.
• Firewall administration across Palo Alto, Cisco or Check Point.
• Understanding IDS/IPS technologies and VPN/SSL/TLS/MFA.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting enterprise firewall environments.
• Investigating security incidents and network anomalies.
• Monitoring security systems across a large-scale infrastructure.

We're partnering with a leading organisation within the defence and technology sector that is looking to appoint a Network Security Engineer to join its 24/7 Security Operations capability.

This is an opportunity to work within a highly secure environment, defending critical infrastructure and supporting the delivery of advanced security operations across a complex enterprise network.

You'll join a team responsible for monitoring, protecting and improving security systems while investigating threats, responding to incidents and helping strength cyber resilience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and supporting enterprise firewall environments
• Investigating security incidents and network anomalies
• Monitoring security systems across a large-scale infrastructure
• Performing network traffic analysis and packet investigation
• Supporting IDS/IPS technologies and secure proxy platforms
• Maintaining VPN and secure communications technologies
• Contributing to vulnerability management activities
• Working within a 24/7 Security Operations environment

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a SOC, Network Security or Cyber Security function
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and DNS
• Firewall administration experience across Palo Alto, Cisco or Check Point
• Understanding of IDS/IPS technologies
• Experience supporting VPNs, SSL/TLS and MFA solutions
• Exposure to network monitoring platforms such as PRTG or Nagios
• LogRhythm
• Wireshark
• Packet capture and analysis
