A defense contractor is seeking a Network Operator to support the UK Ministry of Defence's satellite communication systems. In this role, you will perform health checks, troubleshoot network issues, and manage user access. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data communications and relevant qualifications. The position offers a generous benefits package and is based on site in Rudloe, England.
As Network Operator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the contract to manage and operate Skynet, the UK Ministry of Defence's (MOD) military satellite communications system and ground stations. Day-to-day, you'll support Babcock customers all over the world, using the Skynet constellation of satellites. Your role will provide first‑line technical solutions/fault investigations for MOD customer incidents within the Skynet Network. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hawthorn, Corsham, Wiltshire.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. You may also be required to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security check, once in post.
