Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an experienced Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst for AI Training. This remote hourly contract lets you contribute to securing AI-driven security systems and shaping AI models from anywhere in the world.

You will analyze enterprise network and endpoint security scenarios, review security cases, and clearly articulate root causes and business risk in writing. Flexible schedule supports 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security.
• Familiarity with firewall, EDR, email security gateways, IAM systems, and SIEMs.
• Ability to articulate security issues, root causes, and business risk in writing.
• Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic enterprise network, endpoint, and email security scenarios to evaluate how threats, controls, and failures interact in production environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases — identifying what went wrong, why, and what the business impact is
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures using structured frameworks based on real operational data
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI models
• Provide clear, expert-level explanations of root causes and remediation paths that AI systems can learn from

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network security, infrastructure security, or endpoint security roles
• Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security gateways, IAM systems, and SIEMs
• Deep understanding of how real enterprises deploy, operate, and fail at security controls
• Able to clearly articulate security issues, root causes, and business risk — in writing
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
• Background in security architecture, cloud security, or zero-trust environments
• Familiarity with AI systems, data labeling, or security research workflows
