Job summary

NRG., a technology organisation in Hampshire, UK, is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team. The role blends networking, systems administration, Microsoft technologies and automation to develop and maintain the organisation's infrastructure across network, cloud, systems and endpoints.

You will work across Windows and Linux environments, design and support LAN infrastructure, manage routing, and automate tasks using PowerShell, Python and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Experience with LAN switching, OSPF/BGP, and QoS/DSCP.
• Experience administering Windows Server and client environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 environments.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support LAN infrastructure and network services
• Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols and network traffic
• Support LAN switching, QoS and DSCP tagging
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux systems
• Support Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID environments
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools
• Collaborate with other technical teams on infrastructure and automation projects
• Monitor and improve system performance, security and reliability
• Maintain technical documentation, configurations and processes
