Strong emphasis on multi-vendor device configurations and scalable test frameworks. The position requires 7+ years in software/infra engineering, 5+ years on Linux, and 3+ years building automation for networks, with hybrid in-office work 1-2

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, test automation, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years developing software on Linux-based operating systems.
• 3+ years building automation and tools for network provisioning, deployment, and operations.
• 3+ years configuring network devices for at least one vendor (Arista, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia).
• Python experience; familiarity with AI tools; networking fundamentals (SSH, BGP, MPLS).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation, tools, and workflows for seamless integration of new routing/switching platforms into the network.
• Architect and build end-to-end test automation frameworks, using AI to generate and execute tests at scale and integrate into CI/CD.
• Investigate complex network issues from tooling to hardware failures and network problems.

Network Engineer - Contract Position - HIRING ASAP

Location: London - 1-2 days per week in office

Daily Rate: £350 - £450 per day PAYE

We are looking for an experienced Network Production Engineer skilled in tooling, networking, systems, and automation. Tasked with managing, provisioning, deploying, and integrating new products into one of the most robust, expansive, and intricate networks across the globe, this client relies heavily on automation to keep pace with scale requirements. In this position, your primary focus will be designing, building, and launching the vital tools and automation necessary for network provisioning, deployment, and global scaling. Collaborating with industry-leading engineers, you will create the systems and production code that power a massive global network and sustain the network infrastructure used daily by billions of people worldwide!

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation, tools, and workflows to facilitate the seamless integration of new routing and switching platforms into the network infrastructure (NPI).
• Architect and build end-to-end test automation frameworks, leveraging AI to generate, optimize, and execute test suites at scale for qualification of network platforms, new products (switches, routers, optical devices), and network software - integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous qualification.
• Perform deep dives on complex technical issues across networks, ranging from automated tooling to hardware failures and network issues.
