Job summary

Skilled Workers Cloud, a UK-regulated HR-tech company, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement and support robust network infrastructure for its clients. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable networks.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying network solutions, enforcing security measures, and monitoring performance to optimize capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role with network design and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPsec).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, Cisco Prime.

Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to support business operations and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network architecture and solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
• Network Security:
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Network Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor network performance, traffic, and bandwidth utilization using monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques.
  • Proactively identify and resolve network issues, optimize performance, and implement scalability and capacity planning strategies.

Qualifications
