A leading defense services provider seeks a full-time Network Engineer to support the UK Ministry of Defence's military satellite communications system, ensuring secure network operations. Role: Network Engineer – Full time / Permanent – at Babcock (Hawthorn site, near Corsham, Wiltshire).
As a Network Engineer, you’ll be a key member of our Network Operations team, supporting the contract to manage and operate Skynet, the UK Ministry of Defence’s military satellite communications system and its associated ground stations. On a day‑to‑day basis, you’ll set up, maintain and troubleshoot the network infrastructure that underpins the Skynet Satellite System, ensuring secure and reliable communications for defence operations.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 1‑week rotation on call rota once fully settled.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
