Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a Senior Network Designer with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for a 6-month contract in the UK. The role is hybrid, with three in-office days per week across Bristol, Birmingham and London, offering hands-on automation work in Cisco data centres.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, implement GitOps, and integrate NDFC, NetBox and ServiceNow with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, while ensuring governance in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Cisco NX-OS, VXLAN BGP-EVPN, and vPC expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and automation experience.
• Proficient in Python (REST APIs) and data modeling; YAML and JSON.
• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of GitHub/GitLab workflows and automated validation with pyATS/Genie.
• Experience in regulated environments with detailed LLD documentation (FCA / PRA).

Responsibilities

• Champion GitOps principles and maintain gate-driven automated rollbacks.

The Role

We are seeking a highly hands-on Senior Network Automation Engineer to eliminate manual network configurations and drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). You will translate low-level designs into production-grade automation workflows, building robust CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical Cisco data centres.

What You'll Do

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated network changes and migrations.
• Champion GitOps principles, treating Git as the ultimate source of truth with strict pipeline gates and automated rollbacks.
• Integrate automation seamlessly across enterprise platforms including NDFC, NetBox, ServiceNow, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
