Job description

NetSuite is central to everything we do at SMI and we're seeking a NetSuite Administrator to play a key role in our newly created Systems Centre of Excellence team, helping us get the most out of the system.

As NetSuite Administrator you will own our NetSuite instance, set best practices, keep it secure and make sure it runs as efficiently as possible. Ultimately by helping everyone to get the best out of the system you will directly impact how SMI delivers a great service to its customers helping us grow into the future.

What will I be doing?
  • NetSuite System Owner setting best practices for SMI’s use of the system
  • Working with business stakeholders to analyse and documenting business functional requirements
  • Working as part of project teams delivering changes to NetSuite
  • Maintaining documentation on system operation e.g. process flows, customisations etc
  • Providing first and second line support of NetSuite and managing third party support partners
  • Liaising with external NetSuite consultants to manage, design, develop, test and deliver customisations
  • Developing and delivering training to NetSuite users
  • Application lifecycle management to ensure SMI’s NetSuite instance is up to date and secure
  • NetSuite administration responsibilities e.g. roles, user access etc.
  • Managing NetSuite contract renewals
  • Monitoring and management of customisations including Workflows, Suitescripts, custom forms, records, advanced PDF forms and data connections
  • Creating and managing Saved Searches, reports, analytics datasets and other scheduled data updates
  • Setup and management of external data connections/Integrations into and out of NetSuite including our connections to:
    • Warehouse Management System
    • Web Ordering Portals
    • Data Analytics tools
    • Banking
    • Inbound flows from other connected platforms
What do I need?
  • Analytical and problem solving with the ability to define simple solutions to complex problems
  • Extensive experience of NetSuite system administration
  • Strong knowledge of financial and operational processes within NetSuite
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Be curious and have a passion for continuous improvement
  • Able to prioritise workload based on the needs of the business
  • It would also be great if you:
    • Have a SuiteFoundation certification
    • Have a NetSuite Administrator Certification
  • Have experience working in a B2B/ distribution/ manufacturing business
