South Devon College in Paignton, Devon, is seeking an enthusiastic Netball Academy Coach to lead the development and delivery of the Netball Academy programme. You will recruit and develop student athletes, promote participation, performance and wellbeing, and work with curriculum teams, clubs and community partners.

A Level 2 NGB coaching award and First Aid qualification are required, with commitment to ongoing professional development.

Job description Salary: £5,209.00 to £5,769.00 per annum (pro rata of £26,045.00 to £28,845.00) plus excellent benefits

Contract Type: Fixed term until 25 June 2027, 7.4 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Netball Academy Coach to lead the development and delivery of our Netball Academy programme, inspiring students to excel both on and off the court. Working closely with curriculum teams, schools, clubs, governing bodies and community partners, you will play a key role in recruiting and developing talented student athletes, enhancing competitive opportunities and raising the profile of netball across the College and wider community. The successful candidate will hold a National Governing Body Coaching Award at Level 2 or above and a current First Aid qualification, with a commitment to gaining a teaching qualification within three years and working towards ATLS status within five years if not already achieved. You will have experience coaching young people aged 16-19, strong subject knowledge, good IT skills and a commitment to continuous professional development. We are looking for a flexible, proactive individual who can work independently, communicate effectively with students, perform well under pressure and contribute positively as part of a team. A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion is essential, along with a willingness to undertake staff development, travel on College business and support the ongoing success and wellbeing of our learners. A minibus driving licence is desirable.
