Job summary

Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic Netball coach to lead the Netball Performance programme and the recreational Netball activities. You will plan and deliver structured coaching sessions, maintain Veo camera systems, and support student recruitment and fixtures.

The role requires commitment to safe practice, CPD participation, and collaboration with the Sport Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, ability-specific coaching sessions.
  • Deliver Netball coaching for the Netball performance programme.
  • Run the college recreational Netball programme.
  • Produce and evaluate session plans for all activities.
  • Carry out risk assessments and report incidents.
  • Adhere to College Codes of Conduct.
  • Maintain registers for all activities.
  • Attend CPD and training courses.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver safe, progressive coaching sessions.
  • Liaise with Sport Coordinator for fixtures.
  • Manage Veo camera systems.
  • Promote sport provision at open days and events.
  • Organise trials and recruitment for the programme.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and properly maintained.
  • Comply with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date activity registers and records.
  • Support CPD and ongoing professional development.

Job description

The College is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dynamic individual to provide the highest quality Netball coaching, to ensure students have the highest possible experience. You will be positive, responsive, professional, trustworthy and capable of maintaining a safe and secure environment for teaching and learning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • To plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, ability specific coaching sessions to the Netball Performance programme that are both structured and progressive. General
  • To deliver Netball coaching sessions appropriate for the Netball performance programme
  • To run the college recreational Netball programme
  • Liaise with the Sport Coordinator in preparation for college fixtures
  • Maintaining Veo camera systems.
  • Attending open days/meet your college events to promote sport provision.
  • Uploading match footage to Veo platform for students to use.
  • To organise trials and recruitment for the programme
  • To produce and evaluate session plans for all activities.
  • To carry out risk assessments and report any incidents / accidents to the Line manager /safety officer immediately.
  • To ensure that all equipment is in good working order and assembled properly - to report to Line manager any equipment that needs attention.
  • To ensure that the Colleges Codes of Conduct are adhered to.
  • To keep up to date registers for all activities Using Cedar.
  • To assist in the cross promotion of college activities and student recruitment.
  • To attend training courses continuing professional development as required.
  • To adhere to National Governing Body and league AOC sport guidelines.
  • Support the Strategic aims and objectives of the College
  • To participate in appraisal arrangements, as and when required.
  • Any other task which is deemed necessary as the programme develops.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the nature of the post, and as may be requested by the Principal.
