  • Conducts code quality, security and testing reviews to maintain high standards of system quality, security and data protection.

  • Drives continuous improvement across application performance, technical debt, engineering practices, code quality, security and testing.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Strong C# and .NET development experience, ideally within enterprise applications and services.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write, optimise and troubleshoot complex queries; experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) is preferred.

  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, with an understanding of prompt engineering and the ability to integrate or consume AI/LLM capabilities within software applications.

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes or similar containerisation technologies.

  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices and Git.

  • Proficiency in modern web technologies and frameworks, including JavaScript, React or Angular.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including system design, data structures, testing and code quality.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices.

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Knowledge of fixed income products, including bonds and swaps, would be advantageous.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to quality and detail.

  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence effectively.

  • Effective project, resource and workload management, with a strong track record of delivering to deadlines.
