A healthcare provider in London seeks motivated and experienced Ambulance Drivers to join their Non‑Emergency Patient Transport Service. This permanent full-time role requires 2 years of driving experience, a clean UK driving licence, and the ability to provide safe transport for patients with mobility needs. Candidates should possess good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The salary range is £30,546 to £32,207 per annum.
We are looking for motivated and experienced Ambulance Drivers to join the Non‑Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) at Barts Health. The NEPTS transports patients who cannot travel to or from our hospitals using other methods due to medical or mobility conditions. All requests are assessed on medical need, providing transport from patients’ home addresses to NEPTS locations and returning patients home.

The role provides safe transport for patients, including transferring patients to/from the vehicle using equipment such as wheelchairs, carry chairs, stair climbers or stretchers. Drivers maintain cleanliness of vehicles, report defects or accidents, and conduct dynamic risk assessments before transport.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) is required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
