Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Neonatal Staff Nurse to join the neonatal unit. The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering high-quality care across neonatal levels, with a supportive induction and ongoing professional development.

The unit cares for around 500 infants per year, with opportunities to work across intensive, high dependency, special care, transitional care and outreach.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Experience in neonatal care is desirable.
• Able to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies, protocols and standards are followed.
• Maintain health and safety for staff, patients, visitors and MDT.
• Comply with infection prevention and control policies and training.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care with patient privacy and dignity.
• Engage with families to gather feedback and improve services.
• Promote family-centred care and be available to discuss baby care with families.
