Responsibilities

• To assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a defined group of patients for whom you are responsible, under the guidance of senior staff.
• To participate as a member of the multi‑disciplinary team in developing and maintaining a system of family‑centred care.
• To advise on the promotion of health, recognising the physical, emotional, and social situations that may influence the needs of the mother, baby, and family.
• To take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the babies and their families.
• Where responsible for the custody and administration of drugs, to carry this out according to Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust Policies and Procedures.
• To participate in Clinical Supervision.
• To participate in effective communication with all staff in matters affecting patient care.
• To provide accurate verbal or written information relating the patient care to other members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
• To be committed to the communication strategy.

This exposure will provide the successful applicant with a wealth of Neonatal Nursing experience working with a highly skilled motivated team. You will be actively encouraged to participate and contribute to the development of the Neonatal Service.
