Neighbourhood Team Leader

Fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. 18.5 hours per week (hybrid working). Starting salary £45,647 pro‑rata, progressing to £48,879 pro‑rata through annual increments subject to satisfactory service.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Team Leader to join our Neighbourhoods team. This exciting role involves overseeing the delivery of tenancy services and managing operational aspects of neighbourhood and estate management. The role is designed to enhance communities, resolve complex tenancy management cases, develop new services, and ensure that we meet corporate priorities and performance indicators.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of tenancy services across assigned neighbourhoods.
  • Manage operational aspects of neighbourhood and estate management to support community improvement.
  • Resolve complex tenancy management cases and provide strategic direction.
  • Lead, manage performance of, and develop a team of Neighbourhood Officers.
  • Motivate staff, set clear objectives, coach and support professional growth.
  • Maintain excellent customer care and foster effective partnerships.
Qualifications & experience
  • Experience delivering in a tenancy or housing management role, or in a relevant housing‑related area.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of housing policy and statutory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear objectives, manage performance, motivate and coach staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide accurate advice in spoken English.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
