Job summary

Manchester City Council's Grounds Maintenance Team is seeking a dedicated individual to maintain parks and green spaces across the city. The role involves mowing with ride-on and walk-behind mowers, hedge and shrub care, litter removal and some horticultural duties.

Experience in grounds maintenance or similar operations is required; a driving licence and ability to tow a trailer are essential. We value committed, hardworking, flexible team players who collaborate well and are keen to learn.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of Grounds Maintenance or a similar Operational role is required.
• Specific experience and/or qualifications in the use of power tools, the ability to drive with a trailer and horticultural knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Mowing using ride-on and walk-behind mowers, shrub and hedge maintenance, and minor tree work.
• Removing litter and performing limited horticultural tasks within parks and green spaces.
