Job description

A leading precision engineering manufacturer in Walsall is seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor to lead the inspection team. They operate across power generation, petrochemical, and nuclear sectors, delivering high-integrity fabricated and machined, welded components. As NDT Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and coordinate the NDT inspection team and daily workflow.
\
• Perform and oversee DPI, MPI, and Visual inspections of welds and welded components to ASME and ISO standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and liaise with production and quality teams.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and calibration controls.

Requirements

• Current or recent NDT experience working in a lead, standalone or supervisory capacity
• PCN Level 2 & ASNT or equivalent (PCN/NAS410 combinations considered).
  Proven experience in DPI, MPI, and Visual Inspection.
  Background in welded component inspection within heavy engineering, power, nuclear, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
• Desirable: Radiography/UT experience, supervisory or mentoring background, willingness to train to Level 3.

Hours & Overtime

• Days Mon Friday – Early Finish Friday
• Overtime: Mon–Fri Time + ⅓, Sat Time + ½, Sun Double Time
