Job summary

Senior Bird Bellows is seeking an experienced NDT Process Lead to support and develop the NDT team, overseeing X-Ray and Dye Penetrant operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role requires NDT Level 2 in Radiography and Dye Penetrant, with strong leadership, problem solving and HSE focus.

Qualifications

• NDT Level 2 in Radiography & Dye Penetrant Inspection.
• Engineering experience in aerospace or related industries.
• Level 2 Maths/ English competence.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Exposure to NADCAP requirements.
• Knowledge of metal forming processes and welding.
• Reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• HSE considerations and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective and compliant NDT operations.
• Coordinate with external Level III for approvals.
• Review and improve NDT processes and standards.
• Develop NDT competence through training and induction.
• Ensure adequate skilled resources and cross-functional capability.
• Maintain NADCAP, customer and regulatory approvals through audits.
• Drive continuous improvement across NDT processes and personnel.
• Support MRB process and action closure.
• Lead recruitment and people management with company values.
• Promote communication and stakeholder engagement.
