A leading defence and marine engineering organisation in Plymouth is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the maintenance and regeneration of electrical and mechanical systems onboard Royal Navy vessels. This hands-on role involves ensuring the operational condition of critical naval operations through maintenance tasks, inspections, and accurate record-keeping. Experience as a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician is essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician with strong engineering standards.
  • Physically capable of working onboard vessels.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems onboard ships.
  • Conduct inspections and report on equipment condition to ensure operational readiness.
  • Diagnose and rectify system defects efficiently and accurately.
  • Support general marine maintenance tasks as required.
