Job summary

BBOWT is seeking a Community Organiser to build authentic relationships with communities across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire, helping them take action for nature. The role is full-time, based across counties with some travel, and offers hybrid working.

You’ll develop local leaders, connect diverse groups, and support sustained, community-led change for nature and wildlife. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of community organising principles and practices.
  • Ability to build authentic relationships with diverse audiences including global majority.
  • Comfortable working independently across locations.
  • Active listening to identify community outcomes and barriers.
  • Valid UK driving licence or eligible for Access to Work driver.

  • Build authentic relationships with communities and mobilise action.
  • Embed a community organising ethos for sustainable changes.
  • Facilitate groups to work on local issues.
