Vacancy Description

Purpose of the Role

To lead and develop the company's facade product sales strategy across the UK, driving specification growth, revenue, and market share. The National Sales Manager will manage a team of Regional Sales Managers and Specification Representatives, build relationships with key stakeholders in the facade and building envelope sector, and ensure that commercial objectives are achieved through effective leadership, strategic planning, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for the facade product portfolio (cladding systems, sub-frames, insulation, and ancillary components).
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a regional sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities through specification, contractor engagement, and distribution channels.
  • Manage key accounts and national customer relationships, including facade contractors, system installers, and distributors.
Specification & Market Development
  • Drive specification growth through close collaboration with architects, facade engineers, and design consultants.
  • Monitor project pipelines, ensuring early engagement in major commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
  • Work with the technical team to provide product advice, system performance data, and certification support to clients.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, CPD events, and industry networking activities.
Commercial Management
  • Set and monitor sales budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for the national team.
  • Negotiate framework agreements, commercial terms, and pricing strategies with key clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activity.
  • Report monthly on performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activity.
Team & Process Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop regional sales and specification team members.
  • Embed best practices in CRM use, pipeline management, and customer service.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, technical, and operations teams.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
  • Proven track record in a senior sales or national account management role within the facade, cladding, or building envelope sector.
  • Strong knowledge of facade systems, rainscreen cladding, or related construction materials.
  • Experience leading and developing a geographically dispersed sales team.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings/specifications and discuss performance criteria with specifiers.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Desirable
  • Existing relationships with facade contractors, system installers, architects, and specification consultants.
  • Background in construction product manufacturing or distribution.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools.
