Job summary

Portakabin Ltd is seeking a Contract Manager to join our GB Healthcare team, supporting nationwide projects. The role offers permanent employment with an annual salary up to £67,000 and a target bonus of up to 10%.

Travel and overnight stays are a regular requirement to deliver large, complex contracts, with a company car and private medical scheme included. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder reporting, while ensuring contractual compliance and customer

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering large and complex construction or modular projects.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies and processes.
• Strong knowledge of financial control in project delivery, cost management and final accounts.
• Experience leading and/or coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills for project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for the successful project management and delivery of allocated large or complex contracts, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and customer satisfaction.
• Act as subject matter expert in project delivery and share knowledge with colleagues to support best practice.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to achieve contract delivery objectives with clear roles and deliverables.
• Maintain or improve project margins and cash flow through planning, budgeting, risk control and commercial decisions.
• Produce regular progress reports for stakeholders with analysis of programme, costs and milestones.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks; maintain a risk register and act on opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, manage variations and resolve disputes as required.
• Build strong customer relationships as main contact for allocated contracts.
• Support bid and pre-construction activity with operational insight.
• Provide coaching and line management for contract team where applicable.
