Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior clinician to lead the National & Specialist CAMHS DBT Service. The role focuses on maintaining fidelity to DBT, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and supporting training and supervision across CAMHS programmes.

You will oversee service development, research, and evaluation, while ensuring performance against Trust targets and budget. Experience in leadership within a DBT programme is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with a relevant professional body (HCPC/UKCP/ACP/BPC/BABCP).
• Post-qualification DBT training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
• Entry-level qualification as above (Doctorate or MSc+PG Dip).
• Desirable management qualification or line management experience.
• Desirable DBT-Prolonged Exposure Intensive training.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and lead a highly specialist psychological therapy service.
• Provide expert clinical input and professional supervision.
• Ensure good clinical governance and quality of DBS/DBT practice.
• Balance team consultation with directive leadership to manage risk and safeguarding.
• Deliver training and supervision to DBT teams and CAMHS colleagues nationally.
• Monitor service outcomes and budget within the Trust.
