Job description

National Buying Manager - Cooking Sauces and Condiments

Reporting to a Buying Director and leading a team of Buying Assistants, the successful candidate will help to drive sales, profitability and category management and NPD working with national and international suppliers. The candidate will have a key role in own label development and managing the end-to-end process from concept to delivery across all products within their remit. They will have a deep understanding of the category and will negotiate and foster relationships with suppliers, responsible for delivering on commercial targets whilst keeping value and quality at the heart of what they do. The candidate will have the opportunity to have clear and tangible impact on their category now and into the future whilst developing the team around them.

• People management : manage and foster the development of Assistant Buyers
• Supplier Management : manage the day-to-day supply partner relationships
• Category Management : have a detailed understanding of the product range both internally & externally
