Location: UK – Hybrid / Remote / Field Based
Reports to: Commercial Director
Salary: Competitive basic salary + commission
Parksafe Group is a leading provider of vehicle safety, security and connected technology solutions, operating across the UK and Europe. Through our brands Parksafe, IROAD, ZONE AI, OnDemand and Parksafe Connect, we deliver innovative solutions designed to improve vehicle safety, prevent incidents and provide customers with greater visibility and control of their fleets.
Our solutions include vehicle cameras, AI-powered safety technology, video telematics, tracking, connected services and bespoke vehicle safety solutions across commercial vehicles, HGVs, plant, forklifts and specialist vehicles.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and driven National Business Development Manager to lead our growth within the transport, logistics and haulage sector.
The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across the UK transport, logistics and haulage market.
This is a true new-business development role, focused on winning new customers, developing strategic relationships and growing Parksafe Group's presence within the fleet sector.
You will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, identifying target fleets, opening new relationships and taking opportunities through the complete sales process from initial contact through to contract.
You will engage with fleet operators, transport companies, logistics businesses and haulage groups to understand their challenges around vehicle safety, driver behaviour, vulnerable road users, incident prevention, insurance, fleet visibility and operational efficiency, then position the appropriate Parksafe Group solution.
The role will involve a high level of prospecting, outbound activity, customer meetings, site visits, demonstrations, presentations and commercial negotiation.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director and will have clear revenue and gross profit targets, supported by a competitive basic salary and an attractive commission structure.
The role will focus specifically on transport, logistics and haulage fleets, including:
You will develop a clear understanding of the market, key players, fleet sizes, industry challenges and buying processes within the sector.
This role is about more than selling individual products.
You will work with customers to understand their operational and safety challenges and develop complete vehicle safety and connected technology solutions.
This may include:
You will be expected to understand the customer's requirements and build a compelling commercial case around safety, risk reduction, incident prevention, fleet visibility and return on investment.
You will regularly meet with customers at their premises and other locations across the UK.
Responsibilities will include:
You should be confident presenting to individuals ranging from Fleet Managers and Transport Managers through to Operations Directors, Procurement, Health & Safety teams and Managing Directors.
Although the primary focus is new business, you will remain commercially involved with customers you have won.
This will include:
The successful candidate will be expected to identify and develop larger strategic opportunities.
This could include:
You will work closely with the Commercial Director, Technical Project Manager and wider team to develop and close these opportunities.
You will become a key source of market intelligence for Parksafe Group.
This will include:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who is hungry for new business and enjoys winning.
You should be comfortable working autonomously, building your own pipeline and creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries.
You will be expected to spend a significant amount of time prospecting, making calls, booking meetings and getting in front of customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling into the transport, logistics, haulage or fleet sector, although candidates with strong B2B business development experience in a closely related industry will also be considered.
Most importantly, you will be:
If you're a proven new-business salesperson who knows how to open doors, build relationships and close deals, we'd like to hear from you.
