National Account Manager

Working from home and travelling nationally

Ideally located within easy reach on the M1 and M6

£40,000 - £55,000 + bonus scheme and a Company Car.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated National Account Manager. The main purpose of this critical role is to work closely build, nuture and maintain strong and lasting business relationships to grow and develop the business. You will be setting up meetings nationally, meeting with existing clients, developing the relationships and obtaining referrals. You must be able to demonstrate that you are driven and can proactively manage your schedule. The typical sales cycle is 8 – 18 months so experience of long sales cycles is essential. Also, dealing with local authorities and a knowledge of public procurement is preferred.

Main responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for Key National Accounts, developing and nurturing strong relationships that build not only loyalty but also grow the accounts sales and net value.
  • Attend trade fairs nationwide to nurture existing relationships, build brand awareness, market information and generate leads.
  • Build and nurture relationships by investing time in understanding the clients organisational structure, key decision makers, and pain points.
  • Being an integral part of the team working on framework agreements and tenders
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of any competitors
