Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Slough is seeking an early-career commercial professional to support day-to-day execution across distributor and wholesale partners. This role provides exposure to vital business areas such as forecasting and pricing management and prepares you for growth into account management. Ideal candidates will have a graduate-level qualification and commercial experience in a related sector. This position offers a salary between £65,000 and £70,000 with a flexible and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from a recognised graduate scheme or hold an equivalent graduate-level qualification.
  • Early-career commercial experience within FMCG, retail or a closely related sector (typically 1-3 years).
  • Comfort working with data, forecasts, pricing and Excel-based analysis.
  • Willingness to operate in an admin-heavy, detail-critical environment.
  • Ability to work hybrid from Slough and travel occasionally to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage day-to-day commercial execution across distributor and wholesale partners.
  • Forecast and supply plan, manage pricing and promotions through distributors, and track performance against commercial plans.
  • Manage residual and excess stock, analysing bids, building simple P&L scenarios and recommending the most commercially effective route to market.
  • Stay close to the numbers, keep processes tight, follow through on actions, and contribute to regular financial reviews.
  • Interact with distributor partners and selected customers through calls, reviews and periodic site visits.
  • Think commercially, ask questions and take ownership as confidence grows.

This role sits at the centre of a fast‑moving wholesale and distributor channel. You’ll work closely with senior commercial leaders and external partners, gaining early exposure to forecasting, pricing, Joint Value Plans and customer decision‑making. The environment is high‑accountability and evolving, giving visibility well beyond what’s typical at this career stage. Strong performers move on to National Account Manager roles as the business grows.

Salary

£65,000 – £70,000 per annum
