Job summary

Thermatic is seeking an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join the Projects Team. You will oversee safe, efficient installation, commissioning, and handover of commercial HVAC systems across the UK.

The role supports nationwide travel and site-based commissioning with a focus on quality and compliance. You will work with a diverse team, mentoring juniors and coordinating with project managers to meet strict timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing commercial AC and ventilation systems.
• Knowledge of F-Gas regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and install to design specs.
• Experience using digital reporting and commissioning tools.
• Valid trade certificates and site safety training.

Responsibilities

• Install a wide range of AC systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, packaged units).
• Fit ductwork, pipework and ventilation components to design specs.
• Test, evacuate, pressure-check and commission air conditioning systems.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas, RAMS and safety requirements.
• Liaise with project teams to meet programme timelines and client expectations.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices on best practices.
