Overview

We are seeking a Nanofabrication Technician for a new research project to develop biologically inspired miniature acoustic sensors. The project aims to help the UK water sector meet its commitment to reduce the trillions of litres of water lost from buried pipes due to leakage.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate semiconductor devices by operating tools housed in Southampton’s cleanrooms.
  • Plan, progress, and maintain work in a laboratory environment.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a science‑related subject or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working in a laboratory and successfully planning and progressing work.
  • Basic knowledge of MEMS or Silicon Photonics device fabrication is desirable.
