Summary

An active and well-organised family based in Cobham is looking for a warm, professional daily housekeeper nanny to join them on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a blended role with a slightly greater focus on childcare, perfect for a candidate who enjoys supporting busy family life and creating a nurturing environment for children. The successful candidate will be kind, reliable, and proactive, with strong organisational skills and a gentle, engaging manner.

This part-time family support role offers a varied daily routine, combining light household duties with caring for a school-aged boy and his younger sister.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare (slightly more than 50% of role):

• Collect children from nursery and school
• Prepare and serve evening meals
• Supervise bath and bedtime routines
• Engage children in age-appropriate games, reading and activities
• Support with light homework or house-related admin
• Pack and organise school bags and equipment
• Maintain a warm, calm and consistent presence in the home

Housekeeping (just under 50% of role):

• Light cleaning and tidying (cleaner attends weekly)
• Laundry and ironing for the family
• Change and make beds
• Grocery and gift shopping
• Cooking meals for both children and adults
• Watering plants and running household errands

Requirements

• Proven experience as a housekeeper nanny or similar role in a private household
• A confident driver with own car (essential)
• Comfortable managing both household and childcare tasks independently
• Must hold or be willing to obtain valid nanny insurance
• Available to work Monday to Thursday, 1pm to 8pm (some flexibility around start and end time)
• Caring, disciplined, trustworthy and well-organised
• Creative and eloquent, with a love of supporting children's development
• First aid certification not essential but advantageous
• Right to work in the UK
