A professional couple in the Gosforth area of Newcastle are seeking a Nanny for their baby who is due in August 2024. The family prefer a Nanny looking to make a long‑term commitment, but will also consider those specialising in maternity nanny care who live locally and can commute. The role will support the new parent immediately after birth, with occasional nights and early‑day assistance. A separate bedroom and bathroom is provided for night shifts (note: this is not a live‑in role).
Long term, the Nanny will work 30 hours a week across full days, covering all aspects of usual nanny care. The role will begin as shared care with the mother, and shift to more sole‑charge care after the mother returns from maternity leave in 2025.
The ideal candidate is caring, personable, well versed in young‑baby care, and able to balance support with respectful space for parents. The nanny should act independently, be proactive, and have a good sense of humour.
The Nanny will also support light house‑keeping, meal preparation, and care for a medium‑sized friendly dog. A driver with a personal car is required.
This role is not open to junior nannies. Applicants must have excellent prior experience in sole‑charge nanny roles, referable references, a valid DBS or willingness to obtain one, and full screening checks will be conducted.
