JOB DESCRIPTION

Part‑Time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 27 year old man living in the Llandough area of Penarth with my mother. I really like aeroplanes, trains and any sort of car and enjoy going to the cinema, charity shops and playing bowling. I also have an interest in gaming.

I have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

I am looking for one PA to support me to access the community and take part in social activities.

RATE(S) OF PAY

£13.60 per hour
40p per mile where applicable

HOURS OF WORK

I have 8 hours per week (2 x 4 hours shifts) available and these will be used flexibly during any day between 9am‑4pm.

TASKS CAN INCLUDE
  • Supporting me to access the community.
  • Taking me shopping.
  • Going out for food.
  • Taking me to participate in social activities.
  • Ensuring my safety while out.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
  • A reliable and punctual person.
  • A car driver with business class insurance.
  • A proactive person who will use initiative.
  • Someone willing to build up a relationship with me.
  • A caring and trustworthy person.
ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment starts.

Although this is a part‑time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four‑weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
