A community support organization in Barry is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support an individual with cerebral palsy and complex health conditions. The ideal candidate must be compassionate and proactive, with good communication skills and a clean driving license. This part-time role involves assisting with daily living tasks and may require flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A National Insurance number is required prior to starting.
We are looking for a self-starter Personal Assistant with a can-do attitude to provide support to an individual with cerebral palsy and other complex health conditions. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, proactive and reliable. They should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience working with individuals with similar disabilities, which they could have gained through working as a healthcare or classroom assistant in a special needs school.
Based in Gileston
The candidate should be a motivated self-starter who is willing to work waking nights and undertake relevant training to provide the best support possible. They should be able to work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends as well.

£93.78 per night
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
