Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Malvern-based role. You will work Monday to Friday across mornings, afternoons and nights to keep plant operations running and minimise downtime.

The role requires an apprenticeship and NVQ3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong focus on fault diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure and motivate others.
• Completed an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Engineer.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or City & Guilds / HNC) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Identifying failure modes of plant equipment and returning the equipment to operation safely and in a reasonable timescale.
• Diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns.
• Liaise with engineering day teams to identify and resolve long-term engineering issues.
• Locate spare parts using the maintenance management system; collect and return spares to stores.
• Identify failure modes of electrical equipment and make recommendations to prevent further failures.
• Obtain maintenance schedules and feed back work carried out; record work via notifications.
• Carry out preventive maintenance routines.
• Collaborate with other multi-skilled engineers to ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed on schedule.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, what you'll be doing:

• Identifying failure modes of plant equipment and returning the equipment to operation safely and in a reasonable timescale.

• To liaise with engineering day teams to identify and resolve long-term engineering issues.

• Working collaboratively with other Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer's to ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with scheduling.
