Overview

As a Music Theatre Technician, you will play a key role in supporting both staff and students through the provision of technical assistance across a range of performance and rehearsal spaces. You'll help set up and operate sound, lighting, and stage equipment for college productions, events, and classes, ensuring performances run smoothly and safely. Your work will also include maintaining technical equipment, managing stock and materials, and ensuring performance spaces are set up as required. You'll work closely with teaching staff and learners, offering practical guidance and technical expertise to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a technician, ideally within a performing arts or theatre environment
  • Good working knowledge of sound and lighting systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A flexible and proactive approach – including a willingness to work some evenings and weekends for performances
